MISSION STATEMENT & TRANSPARENCY POLICY

The website known as FACEBOOK IS KILLING US (FIKU) collects direct donations and sells merchandise (KickAssYardSigns.com) to support social media ad buys designed to influence public opinion away from dangerous disinformation (e.g. anti-vaccine, bogus cures, voter fraud, etc...) that is disseminated and amplified on social media platforms including but not limited to Facebook.  Simply put, we are promoting science-based decision-making in the social media space.  FIKU fully supports constitutional democracies around the world including but not limited to the constitutional republic known as the United States.  

The amount spent per ad campaign as well as ALL other expenditures will be shared as openly as possible along with other information (e.g. number of views per ad).  Our intent is to counter the dangerous and toxic spread of disinformation and hate speech amplified and disseminated by Facebook, Twitter, and other social media corporations who have monetized hatred and disinformation, increased dysfunctional political and cultural polarization, and increased the likelihood of dehumanization and genocidal behaviors directed at social, religious, and ethnic minorities around the world (e.g. How Facebook was used in Myanmar genocide).  

ALL EMPLOYEES of FIKU are paid the same wage (currently $20/hour) regardless of position or title. Further, we believe that a DYNAMIC TENSION based in strategic compromise between conservative and liberal points of view is essential to the survival of healthy societies around the world.
